Frequently Asked Questions
What are the due dates to ensure I file my taxes on time?
The date changes year to year depending on if the filing due date falls on a weekend. Typically, your documents must be in hand by February 25th for business filings and March 25th for individual tax filings.
Do I have to use your portal?
No, but it’s the most secure way to provide me your documents if not dropping off or mailing them. If you would like to drop off, please use my scheduler to book a time for drop off.
Your portal seems complicated or I can’t get in, what are the next steps?
Please call me at 301-845-5850 if you are having trouble logging in. If you previously used an intuit product such as TurboTax, or QuickBooks, this email MUST match the e-mail I sent the portal link to. For resources on how to use the portal, please see the instructions HERE
Can I drop off my documents and wait for my taxes to be completed?
Although I wish I could work that fast, that is not how my practice is managed. Once documents are received, I will review them and draft your return. Any questions, concerns, or additional requests are sent in a list via e-mail. Sensitive requests can be uploaded to the portal. Non sensitive requests can be attached or responded to via e-mail. My average turn around to prepare and finalize your tax return is 14 days.
